David Marotz has been working for Accenture since June 2003 within the Health and Life Sciences
practice as a consultant.
His work has been focused in the area of interoperability communication between systems in the healthcare
industry using open standards and business process management (BPM). He has worked extensively on the
creation and modeling for the HL7 version 3 Implanted Devices domain. Has additionally worked with several key players in the implanted cardiac
device industry to create an IEEE1073 nomenclature standard for the communication of cardiac device
information.
From March 2006 through January 2007 he worked on the Accenture ONCHIT NHIN/RHIO prototype system integration
team.
David graduated from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) with a degree in
Economics and concentration (minor) in Management Studies. He has been a member of HL7 since 2003 and a member of
HIMSS since 2006.
